This structure was built by the Canada Furniture Company in 1905 after fire destroyed their previous factory in 1904. From 1984 to 2015 this was the home of Brick Brewery, one of Canada's first craft brewers. Until this company moved to Kitchener in 2015, this building was the last early manufacturing building in Waterloo to remain in industrial use.
