Historic Waterloo

Address: 171 King Street South
Year Built: 1913, additions 1959, 1988, 1998–1999

This building, built in 1913, was originally owned by the Gartung family, who operated the Maples Tea Room at this location. In 1946 the newly founded Edward R. Good Funeral Home acquired the property. Since then, there have been 11 additions to the building; today, little of the original exterior is visible, save a peak at the top of the building. The funeral home, now renamed Erb & Good Funeral Home, still conducts business at this location.
