A two-storey buff brick Italianate house. Built for Henry Roos, a partner in Snyder Roos and Company, furniture manufacturers. He had 10 children; one of his daughters, Emma Belle Roos, who was town librarian from 1903 to 1949, lived in this house most of her life.
