The Voelker House is a vernacular building exhibiting architectural influences from the Georgian, Gothic and Classical periods. It occupies a prominent spot in the delta where Albert, Young, and Fountain (originally Snider) Streets meet. The outside appearance of the house is substantially similar to how it would have appeared when it was built, save for the painted brick and a window having been replaced with a door.
