Historic Waterloo

Address: 193 Mary Street
Year Built: ca. 1867, relocated 1895

Originally the residence of Adam Doersam, which was located on a 0.8 acre lot on King Street at the corner of Allen. After Doersam's death in 1894, Aloyes Bauer purchased the lot and moved the building to the opposite corner of the lot. It was Bauer's residence for a time and subsequently the residence of Conrad Hoffman, a painter. This house is similar to the recently-demolished 37 Menno Street.
